By federal law, you are allowed to obtain your credit report from each of the three credit reporting agencies ( TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax) for FREE every 12 months.

It is easy to obtain your free annual credit report from the three agencies online. Simply visit http://www.annualcreditreport.com. You will be asked to enter your information and correctly answer a few questions to confirmed, you will be redirected to each of the agencies you wish to obtain your credit report from. It is recommended that you either print your credit report or save it to your local computer hard drive in case you accidentally close the tab, since you will need to pay if you would like to see it again before the new 12-month period ends.
